What is Counselling & Psychotherapy all about?
“Counselling & Psychotherapy are broad terms which cover a range of talking therapies. They are delivered by trained professionals who work with people to help them bring about effective change or enhance their well being”.
It is time set aside by you on a weekly or fortnightly basis for you & I to look at what has brought you to therapy. This might include talking about your ways of thinking, relationships, emotions, feelings, patterns of behaviour, and/or past & present life events. It is my duty to help you to look at your issues and identify the right course of action for you. After the initial assessment session, I will then offer 6 further sessions. We will decide together if more sessions are needed after this.
Couples' sessions tend to be longer and spaced out on a fortnightly or three weekly basis, depending on what suits you best.
